The house was full at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery museum in Richmond's Steveston community on the evening of June 24 2023 for the installation of Shirley-Pat Chamberlain as Rotary District 5040 Governor along with her team of District leaders as they set a course for serving our 48 Rotary clubs, as well as Rotaract clubs (young professionals) and Interact clubs (at high schools) and all our members throughout our communities in 2023-24.

Joining Shirley-Pat, as her "brostar" was District Governor Partner Ron Malmas, Assistant Governor for the Northwest Area.

Shirley-Pat's home club of Steveston Rotary hosted the event. Past District Governors Bob Blacker, Gordon Dalglish and Darcy Long officiated at the ceremony.

From the Tsilhqot’in First Nation in the Williams Lake area, "sistar" Joyce Charleyboy joined Shirley-Pat for a joint drumming greeting given by Joyce's community. Coming from much further away was Past President of Rotary Club of Ikate, Nigeria, Dgteens Gednte Dgteens.

Thank you and congratulations were given to 2022-23 District Governor John Berry and District leadership team for this past productive year in support of all our clubs.

Tasty grazing and entertainment added to the party mood.
