Thursday, October 26 -  Another early start as we visit the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunrise at their lovely venue in the Richmond Golf & Country Club.   President Heather Harrison has a very active club in hand here, with a strong focus on the environment and environmental sustainability.   We sign up several members to attend the Presidential Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Peace in February!   This club is the first we have found that has an Eco Committee.

Another very active Rotary club, Richmond Sunrise is the sponsor club for the new Rotary Club of Vancouver Moutainview, and Past District Governor Gordon Dalglish as well as Rotarian Elena Agala have worked hard in support of the new club with great success!  The club also is a participant in several International projects and is working now to establish an eco project with Nicaragua.   Locally they have recently installed a water bottle filling station on the Richmond Greenway, and sponsor an Interact club at Burnett School.   They are also very involved in supporting Richmond Therapeutic Riding.
