Rotaract Yaletown has currently raised $1200 of their $1500  goal to donate to Project Techo, a housing project in El Salvador reflecting the lack of decent housing. In the planning stages are a Valentines fundraiser and a St. Patricks Day fundraiser in which they plan to surpass that goal and donate the funds accordingly.

We are working on developing a PR Strategy to take advantage of World Rotaract Week (March 12-18) to promote Rotaract to our District and the world. With it being the 50th Anniversary for Rotaract it is great time to promote! If you have helpful contacts and relations to local radio stations, news papers or other media channels, which provide a fitting format for promoting Rotaract, we would appreciate to hear from you! Please message our District PR chair (email: carina.dietze@gmail.com).

Our idea of having a gala to celebrate the 50th Anniversary has been scaled back and combined with our annual Installation Dinner. Please save the date: May 12th - more details will follow soon.

We are working with District 5050 Rotaractors to hold a joint event, the tentative date would be April 21st. Since the size of our district gives us rare opportunities to connect and work together with other district, we decided that an evening of networking and connecting with our District-“neighbours” would be a great opportunity to build new platforms for future cooperations!

Last but not least there is an upcoming District Rotaract Skating Social on February 17th at 3pm at Minoru Arena, to which we would like to invite all Rotarians to! We hope to see you there! For further information please check out the event page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/161150064519691/
