The next Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) will be held from September 3 to 13, 2014. Fun loving Rotarians in District 7430, southeastern Pennsylvania, want to host you in this beautiful and historic part of the world. Find Allentown PA on your map and see how close it is to Philadelphia, Gettysburg, Atlantic City, Amish country and many more local places of interest. A bonus should be the start of the fabulous fall foliage.

These testimonials are from D-5040 Rotarians who traveled to D-7490 in Sept. 2011 or D-9930 in Feb. 2013.

  • Relaxing, Fun-filled, Educational – Means building personal relationships and understanding while enjoying the company of other Rotarians in new settings.
  • Best travel experience of our lives.
  • A wonderful opportunity to meet people and see their area as only the locals see it. Friendships are developed quickly and are long lasting.
  • Rotary Friendship Exchange is an opportunity to travel to a different part of the world, and be welcomed and hosted by the same warm hearted Rotarians you’ve known at home.
  • Great fellowship, interesting visits to important sites, reasonable costs, and memorable experiences.
  • The hospitality, generosity and the organization of RFE was amazing. It was great to see a new country with a local and I made so many international friends.

Participants in a RFE pay their own air fare ( to Newark or Philadelphia), sightseeing fees, local transportation costs (a shared van), Rotary Club visits, and meals away from your hosts.

These trips are perfect for couples and singles, and have been thoroughly enjoyed by all past RFE participants.

The maximum number is ten; if you are interested, please contact Jane LePorte, D5040 RFE Chair at leporte@telus.net or 604 263 1746 as soon as possible.

D 5040 will host D 7430 from June 12 to 24, 2014.
