The Government House and Rotary Community Building Literacy project started with a simple question in 2007 between Lieutenant Governor Steven Point and PDG Bob Blacker, and has blossomed into a campaign that is changing lives. Since then, Point and Blacker have partnered in a literacy campaign to bring books to remote and isolated communities throughout B.C. To find out how you can get involved, please email PDG Bob Blacker.

The recent project, on May 31st Lt. Governor Point, DG Penny Offer, PDG Bob Blacker, Ron Malmas, President of the RC of Williams Lake Daybreak and First Nations representatives opened the Tl'esqox Literacy Centre at Toosey west of Williams Lake in the Chilcotin. The project received funding from The Rotary Foundation - District Grant, RC of Williams Lake, RC of Langley Central (D5050) and Bridcoe Trailers.
