We are known for:
  • The club with the longest history in Burnaby
  • Active International Projects - Orphans in Ukraine, Bali school for deaf, World Help (shipping excess medical supplies to developing countries)
  • Multiple Large Local Projects - Rotary House, Foreshore Park, ACE-IT sponsorship and fundraising, 
  • Involvement in sponsoring youth: Adventure programs: Technology, Film, Citizenship, Tourism
  • ROTARACT: Rotaract Club of Burnaby has been in existence since 2007
  • RCC: The district's first Rotary Community Corps was chartered this year!
Our Goals for 2016-17:
  • To build on our membership with more diversified demographics and vocation
  • To engage new members through effective communication in what the club is doing and encourage them to realize possibilities of being in Rotary
  • To increase our internal communication and knowledge
Events:
  • October 19, 10am. Sandwich making for homeless - every third Wednesday 10am at Deer Lake Church. Contact: Teresa Lung TKY.lung@telus.net
  • December 3rd - “Breakfast with Santa” at Maywood School, Saturday from 9am to 12:00 noon. Contact: Neil MacKay at jennmack@shaw.ca
  • December 15th - Progressive Housing Christmas Lunch. Contact: Teresa Lung at TKY.lung@telus.net
  • December 19th - West Burnaby United Church Christmas Dinner for families in need. Contact: Pam Gardner at pamela@burnabyorthopaedic.com
