On June 27, 2012, Anne Baker was installed as President 2012-13 of the Rotary Club of Powell River.  Two Past Presidents and the current President of the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown all flew to Powell River for this auspicious occasion.  This reminds us that in March Anne tried to fly from Powell River to Seattle for PETS 2012 without a Passport!!

Anne was stopped at YVR for several hours as her husband Ron delivered her passport on the next plane from Powell River to Vancouver.  Eventually, Anne did make it to Seattle to the relief of Assistant Governor for Sunshine Coast Jan Gisborne.

Anne started her Rotary 'career" as a member of the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown a few years ago.  A couple of years later, Anne and her husband Ron decided to sell their printing business and move to Powell River to build their dream home.  Anne moved her membership from Burnaby Metrotown to Powell River.  Anne always kept in touch with friends in Burnaby Metrotown.  At her installation, three members of Burnaby Metrotown were so excited to fly to Powell River for this special event -- Past President Bala Naidoo, Past President Antonia Beck and President Darlene Broadhead couldn't wait to see Anne in a dress!
