January 21 - Rotaract Club of Burnaby  -  We join members of the Rotaract Club of Burnaby to help them with one of their Community Dinners at the Burnaby Neighbourhood House.   They started cooking at 2PM and have things almost ready to go - we are going to help plate dinners, deliver food to the guests and then clean up.   It's going to be a great meal - there is fresh made chili on the stove (both beef and vegetarian), a nice fresh salad, fresh baked corn bread and some apple pies cooling from the oven.

The guests arrive (residents of the community pay a very nominal amount) and the Neighbourhood House provides the venue as both a community service and a social opportunity.   Rotaract gets some fundraising and provides a community service - it all works out for everyone.   All enjoy the food - there is lots to go around, no one leaves hungry!) and then we put the place all back to how we found it.   A great community project - and all in one day!
