Thursday, March 8 - Rotary Club of Quesnel  -  Departing 100  Mile House, we make a quick drive north on Highway 97 where we join the Rotary Club of Quesnel for their lunch meeting.   Once again there is a warm welcome and great turnout, as President Sandra Lewis presides.

We present the cheque from the Wildfire Fund as well as a certificate recognizing the club's contribution to the Polio Eradication campaign in the past Rotary year.   The Quesnel club plans to support the Quesnel Amateur Radio Society (and presents a cheque to their two representatives there in the amount of $6,800, and has further plans to support local volunteer firefighting groups with training and possibly also the Pet Safe Coalition with facilities to better handle evacuated animals in an emergency situation.   That evening, Past District Governor Rebecca MacPherson hosts a dinner at her home for the club executive and we join for a relaxed evening with Quesnel Rotarians.
