We regret to announce the passing of Prince George Rotarian and outstanding community leader, MaryAnne Arcand.

Predeceased by her sister Tena DeWitt (1975). Survived by her husband George Arcand, parents Bill and Ditty DeWitt, and children Harald Bartel, Willy Bartel, Tina Neufeld and Melanie Lockington, their spouses and ten grandchildren.

MaryAnne was born in New Westminster and lived in the lower mainland area until she moved to the Caribou Interior in 1987 with her husband and four children. MaryAnne was passionate in all her endeavors and won numerous awards for the positive impact she made in the people and communities around her, however, she measured her success through lives changed and relationships formed. MaryAnne loved the challenges that she faced working with the CILA and Road Health groups. She was a proud Rotarian and past Rotary club president who lived the motto "Service Above Self" in all aspects of her life, as a reflection of her belief in God and relationship with Jesus Christ. She loved youth and found many ways to help shape future generations including helping out at RYLA camps. MaryAnne's energy, enthusiasm and music with her guitar will be missed.

Memorial service to be held Saturday, March 22, at 11am. First Baptist Church, 483 Gillett Street, Prince George

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Rotary Hospice in Prince George
