Bowen Island
  • Promoting RYLA to members with teenage children
Burnaby – Deer Lake
  • Social – Club members, spouses and friends enjoyed a post-Christmas social at the home of a co-President, Janice.
  • Interact Clubs at Burnaby South and Burnaby Central Secondary Schools busy with various activities such as bubble tea sales, origami rose sales, a school online match maker initiative and the Rebel Nations Interact concert. February 16th at the Michael J Fox theatre in Burnaby for admission of $8.00.
Burns Lake
  • Calendar sales went well and they made $8000
  • Annual virtual auction in November madw $34,000. The 2023 auction to be held in person as well as virtual and will hold the in-person part at the local Legion, giving them the opportunity to bring in people for food and drinks. 
  • Announced a new Rotary Youth Citizen of the Year
  • For youth exchange they have found a out going student from Smithers who will be going to Germany next year and have also secured an in-coming student for next year.
Dragon
  • Raised money for Burnaby hospital through the Burnaby Lunar New Year event.
Lions Gate
  • Identifying community leader who qualify for a Honorary Membership in 2023
  • Creating awareness for RCLG presenting in person to the corporate community 
  • Loaded a Rotary World Help container to Ukraine in January
Mackenzie
  • The Mackenzie Club is planning some ideas for membership in the next couple of months including dropping their annual dues.  The town has been hit financially so they thought that a reduce fee might bring in some more interest.
New Westminster
  • Several members continue to volunteer at the Don’t Go Hungry Food Support program. 
Pender Harbour
  • Jan 13th - We held our Business/Board meeting we now hold this as a combined meeting to prune the number of meetings and to engage more members in the business side of the club. It has resulted in more members being active in voting and having a say in how the club runs. 
  • Jan 21st, - We had our Social - rotary
  • Booked a table at the Madeira Park Legion for Robbie Burns night as a club social Jan 21st
  • Our article is in this months Coast reporter for Rotary Awareness month
Powell River
  • Jan. 4th Social Night at Westview Bowling Lanes, Fellowship Bowling and dinner.
  • January is Rotary Awareness month. Front Page News in the Mid-Week Peak and an article, ad and photo in the January 18 Peak and again Wednesday, January 24th paper.
  • Read To Me books and bags (215) with Rotary’s logo were delivered to all the kindergarten youngsters at the local schools as part of Literacy Month.
  • A Ukrainian Family moved into town and their needs for household goods was met by our club. Championed by Rotarian Ed Frausel who with other members made many pickup loads to get the family nice and comfortable.
  • Our Interactors provided a drink concession at Banff Mountain Film Festival on Friday and Saturday, January 13 and 14. And ran the concession at Max Theatre on January 19
Prince George Downtown
  • Hosted a curling day and Chinese New Year’s dinner with 66 Rotarians, family and friends attending dinner and 32 curlers.  The food was fabulous, and they raised $200 from a 50/50 with the funds going to Polio Plus. 
Prince George Nechako Club
  • The Nechako Club is planning a Membership evening in February and will be asking all members to bring a prospective Rotarian.
  • The club is also ushering at the local Cougar’s Hockey games. We receive part of the 50/50 draw which ends up to apron $4200 for the season which is donated to local charities.
Prince George Yellowhead
  • Initiated a dialogue with the Chief and Council of the Lheidli T’enneh and have invited the other clubs in town to join them. A letter was sent and now a meeting is set for Feb 8th for us to explain what Rotary is all about and whether we could form a relationship and work together in some capacity.
Quesnel
  • Prepared 198 meals for seniors, thanks to 18 volunteers and 52 hours of time
Regal Rotaract
  • Young Adults Clothing Drive was held with participation of Rotary clubs of Burnaby and West Van members and their friends and families. Items were dropped off on Jan 10th when we were finally able to transport the donated clothes from storage to covenant house for distribution.
  • Our membership committee now has three members. They are currently working on a) a system for assigning mentors for new members, b) entrance and exit interviews and c) creating terms of reference (code of ethics, policies, and procedures)
  • Social events.  Our social events team now has three members. Our goal is to have one social event a month for Regal Rotaract members. We are planning a potluck for the end of January.
Richmond:
  • $3,000 raised for the Christmas Fund. This has been an ongoing tradition for over 4 decades. Evidently the need for Christmas hampers increased 20% over last year.
  • Since 2022, the Rotary Club of Richmond has been donating dozens of iPad to Richmond seniors. iPad is an effective tool for seniors with large fonts, easy-to-use apps, and simple functions for people not familiar with technology. The  Club of Richmond donated 8 iPads to the West Richmond Community Centre and 1 Ipad to Thompson Community Centre for seniors programs.
Sea–to-Sky
Sechelt
  • Coordinated Interactors 2 bottle drives in January raising $900 for their international project in Kenya – a kids centre for 120+ orphans that needs beds.
  • Held small celebration party for a Student with Restorative Justice on her volunteer work success – mostly with Rotary.
  • Organized all our Friends of Rotary to: -
    a) Start installing herring curtains at key docks
    b) Start writing the 1,200 Valentines cards for the front line health care workers on the Coast
    c) Learn about our club’s new Google Calendar showing all events, with dates, needing volunteers
  • Held social on January 31st with potential new members in attendance
Squamish
  • We are looking at having the first meeting as a zoom business meeting, the second and third meetings with guest speakers and the last meeting as a social.
  • Jan 12th Meeting – we invited the new Mayor and Council to a meet and greet meeting.  It was very successful, and we were able to provide a presentation of Rotary to them 
  • President Lynda met with other Sea to Sky Presidents about collaborating with our individual Interact Clubs to fundraise for the El Cardonal Project
Steveston
  • Proposal to have an evening meeting to see if this would increase participation
Tsawwassen
  • Delta Food Runners has been expanded by combining with the Starfish programme that delivers packages to the schools for students of families in need. The Food Runner app is now in operation with deliveries beginning on Thursdays 11AM- Noon. This is an opportunity to become involved in a most worthy community service.
  • Food Bank Dinner where bags and purses were distributed with extras going to the North Delta Women's shelter.
Whistler       
  • The final amount raised by the hot dog sale at Cheakamus was $1,000.  $500 is going to the Youth Soccer Club, the other $500 to be decided upon
  • Plaza Benches We have approval for 1 bench. Gill is to submit an updated application.
  • Cornucopia – Raised approximately $8,700 minus expenses: 50% WCSS, 25% RCOW, 25% Millennium Club; must be used for Youth at Risk Related Projects.
Whistler Millennium
  • The Cornucopia silent auction raised almost $10,000: 25% for each of two Whistler clubs and 50% for WCSS. All funds will go to youth mental health.
  • Santa and the Elves raised over $2,000 and were enjoyed by many believers.
  • Interact meeting in January at the youth Center was attended by 5 awesome kids.
Williams Lake Day Break
  • Doing 61 starfish packs a week. North Delta Rotary donated 40 new and 50 used backpacks
  • Have raised $140,000 for climbing wall project
  • Up to 13 members and satellite club had its first meeting on February 8th
