Rotary International Director Marty Helman has announced the launch of a landmark Impact Tour across Rotary Zones 28 & 32, spanning Alaska, Canada, the northeastern United States, and Bermuda. Beginning July 1, 2026, Director Helman will visit clubs and Rotary events in every district over the course of two years—meeting members, participating in service projects, and sharing Rotary’s story of humanitarian impact firsthand.
Designed to strengthen connections, celebrate club achievements, and elevate Rotary’s visibility in local communities, the Impact Tour reflects Rotary’s spirit of service and fellowship. At each stop, events will showcase that our members are people of action who create lasting, meaningful change in the world around them.
District 5040 will welcome Director Helman on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at a Rotary Family Picnic in Ladner’s Memorial Park.
A Rotary family picnic is more than a fun day outdoors—it’s an opportunity to deepen the relationships that make our community strong. Members, families, and friends can enjoy a relaxed setting where laughter, connection, and shared purpose come naturally. By attending, you’re not only enjoying great food and good company; you’re celebrating the spirit of service and friendship that defines Rotary. It’s a simple, meaningful way to build relationships, welcome new faces, and remind ourselves why community matters.
The event will take place at 5010 47 Ave, Delta, BC, next to Rotary Splash Park, starting at 11:00 AM. Rotary has reserved the large gazebo and picnic tables. Registration includes hamburgers and hot dogs. Rotary members and their families—including children—are encouraged to attend. Pack bathing suits and towels so the kids can enjoy the Splash Park; changing facilities are available on-site.
Registration is $15 per person; children 12 and under are $5. Click HERE to register.
