I am pleased to report that today we completed Phase 1 of The Drive Community Garden.  Members of the Rotary Clubs of Vancouver, Vancouver Quadra, and Vancouver Yaletown worked with Can You Dig It, Shifting Growth Garden Society, posAbilities, community members, and several sponsors (including Vancity) to prep the entire site and complete 79 movable garden beds.

Thanks to Peter Clarke (Clarkes Recognition Products) for the Rotary signage, which was installed today (one large sign on the front bulletin board and 13 smaller Rotary plaques on the individual garden boxes).

I'm enclosing two photos, a group photo with our Big Cheque and the three Club reps Greg Stevens Community Projects Chair, Vancouver Club, Graham Salvail President, Quadra and Linda Murray President Yaletown with the bulletin board sign.

We also had a couple of videographers and the local MP (Joyce Murray) present.  The Rotary Clubs were presented with a commemorative plaque by one of the board members of posAbilities.

It was a great community project and fellowship event, despite the rain!!!
