We are looking for Vocational Training Team (VTT) Leader to work with a team of secondary teachers at Kyaithani and Lower Yatta Secondary Schools in Rural Kenya.
 
During Spring Break 2019, in partnership with Kenya Connect, the Rotary Vocational Training Team will visit schools in Kenya’s Kyaithani and Lower Yatta regions to become familiar with the educational environment and student needs in rural Kenya. It will work with local teachers and school principals to explore new ways of presenting material using computer and Internet technology.
    We are looking for an individual to lead the the team. That is an active Rotarian from District 5040 who has:
    • professional expertise in the area of focus (which in this case is Education)
    • international experience in team leading
    • International travel and good general Rotary knowledge.
       
    The Team Leader will prepare teachers, organize training workshops and lead the Kenya portion of the Vocational Training Team (VTT).  He/She will take a leading part of the British Columbia portion of the VTT and prepare the presentation at the District Conference.
