District 5040 Youth Programs

 

  Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 12-18. The program gives young people an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.
     
  Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive training program for community youth leaders. Young people chosen for their leadership potential attend an all-expenses-paid seminar to discuss leadership skills and hone those skills through practice.
     
  Youth Exchange is the most popular program, which allows students ages 15-19 to experience another way of life by living abroad with a host family. Rotary clubs, districts and multidistrict groups administer the program.
     
    STEP - Short Term Exchange Program provides the opportunity for students aged 15 to 19 to participate in an international exchange during their summer holidays.
     
  New Generations Service Exchange is a short-term, customizable program for university students and young professionals up to age 30.
